Bulimia is an eating disorder characterized by a routine of binging and purging. A
binge occurs when a person consumes a large amount of food, usually during a short
period of time. Purging is a self-induced way of burning calories by vomiting, abusing
laxatives or diuretics, or other means. The binge-purge episodes of a bulimic occur
at least twice a week for three months. The victim usually feels lonely and out of
control. This vicious cycle can continue until it causes serious health complications
or death. If you know someone who you think has Bulimia, please contact a health
care professional for advice, and continue searching my website for more information
